Jordan | Typical summer conditions on Wednesday and Thursday with a temperature drop expected over the weekend

WASM – Typical summer conditions continue to affect the Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday, with generally hot weather during the afternoon and evening hours. The maximum temperature in Amman will exceed 31 degrees Celsius, while conditions will moderate during nighttime and early morning hours and will be slightly cool in the mountainous areas.

Temperatures will drop on Thursday evening and during the weekend, with generally moderate conditions and cold temperatures during nighttime and early morning hours in the mountainous regions. The minimum temperature will drop to 13-14 degrees Celsius in the mountains, coinciding with active winds.

The Kingdom experienced a moderate beginning to the summer season with temperatures slightly below their average for this time of year, and these weather conditions are expected to continue over the coming two weeks at minimum, with brief, scattered hot spells expected that will not have significant impact.

WASM expects a noticeable increase in humidity levels in the middle and end of next week, coinciding with moderate weather conditions, with humidity levels exceeding 90% in the western highlands of the Kingdom during nighttime and morning hours.

The scientific reason is due to the control of a strong and deep warm-type high-pressure system over parts of the European continent, which in turn drives cooler winds to Eastern Europe, then to the Eastern Mediterranean basin, northern Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
