Alert – The effect of the high-humidity tropical wave is intensifying towards the Kingdom, leading to a notable increase in humidity levels and a slight decrease in temperatures over the coming days, but this will result in a "growing perception of hot weather compared to today".
As a result and due to the increase in humidity levels, this will lead to the development of atmospheric instability and weather disturbances with thunderstorm rainfall in various parts of the Kingdom, and heavy precipitation in some areas is not ruled out and for short periods.
This will lead to active winds and the occurrence of dense dust waves in various parts of the Kingdom, and this is not limited to desert areas only.
Temperatures between mid and end of the thirties Celsius in the mountains|
Temperatures will decline slightly to record between 34 degrees Celsius in the mountains and the capital's highlands and up to 38 degrees Celsius in the eastern and central parts, and will remain around 40-44 degrees Celsius in the valleys, Aqaba, the Dead Sea, and desert areas around them. Despite this slight decline, this will coincide with high humidity that increases the perception of hot weather.
Atmospheric instability begins Saturday and intensifies Sunday|
Unusually for this season, the Kingdom will be affected by rare atmospheric instability for this summer period, beginning Saturday and intensifying Sunday through Wednesday, resulting in the formation of thunderstorms and rainfall in scattered areas, and heavy precipitation in limited areas of the Kingdom is not ruled out.
As a result of these thunderstorms, dust storms are expected to occur in various parts of the Kingdom and not only desert areas of the country.
Winds will remain westerly to northwesterly, becoming active at times, becoming variable during thunderstorms accompanied by strong gusts at times which require attention and caution.
Retreat of the humid tropical wave|
This tropical wave and atmospheric instability will retreat starting from the evening of next Thursday and Friday daytime gradually, and temperatures will drop noticeably to become within their seasonal averages and then below averages later at the end of the week.
