WASM - The Kingdom is expected to be affected by weather fluctuations on Saturday and Sunday in the form of noticeable temperature variation and active winds that stir dust and dust in desert areas as a result of an extension of the Red Sea low pressure system from the south accompanied by clouds at different altitudes and light rainfall showers.
In detail, the atmosphere will remain generally moderate in mountainous areas during Thursday and until Friday morning and clearly cold during nighttime and early morning hours with the appearance of clouds at different altitudes, and winds will be westerly at moderate speed.
The Red Sea low pressure begins to affect the Kingdom from Friday evening, with temperatures starting to rise, making the atmosphere generally warm and hot in low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley, and the impact of the Red Sea low pressure is expected to increase from Saturday evening until Sunday daytime in the form of partly cloudy weather and light rain showers with active winds stirring dust in desert areas, followed by a noticeable temperature drop on Sunday evening.
It is expected that pleasant and cold conditions will resume during nighttime and early morning hours during the coming week, and the WASM regional center is monitoring a cold air mass with high humidity later from the end of next week and during the end of May, which increases the chances of rainfall again in some areas and a return of clearly cold conditions.
The Kingdom was affected by a cold and humid spring season with rainfall amounts above the average, which reflected a significant improvement in the agricultural sector in the Kingdom and high agricultural production after a long and harsh winter characterized by "massive" amounts of precipitation in the north and central regions of the Kingdom.
