Jordan | WASM Regional Center Issues Yellow Alert Level for Weather Conditions Tomorrow Friday

WASM - The WASM Regional Center Issues Yellow Alert Level due to weather conditions tomorrow, Friday, as the Kingdom is affected by a slightly cold and humid air mass with expected rainfall in many areas and active winds. These rains will be accompanied by thunderstorms in the northern part of the Kingdom. Cold weather is also expected in many mountainous areas. WASM classifies weather condition levels using a modern color-coded system adopted by many countries worldwide, which consists of 4 colors: green, then yellow, then orange, and the strongest is red.

WASM advises staying away from water accumulation areas, valleys, and low-lying areas tomorrow, Friday, and avoiding venturing near those areas. Follow the instructions of Civil Defense and warnings issued by the Jordanian Meteorological Department.

In detail, Jordan is expected to be affected by a slightly cold air mass with high humidity accompanied by rain clouds, temperature drop, and active winds starting from tonight over the northern part of the Kingdom, gradually extending to central areas during dawn and morning of Friday, then extending to the southern highlands.

The weather condition will continue until Friday evening, after which the weather will gradually stabilize while remaining cold, with fog formation in the eastern plains of the Kingdom.

Temperatures will rise slightly on Saturday with stable weather that remains generally moderate and autumn-like. Temperature will increase further on Sunday for hot conditions for a temporary period, then autumn conditions will return again on Monday.

The WASM Regional Center forecasts an early start to the rainy season this year, as rainy conditions will become more intense and frequent during the coming month of October based on data from our developed climate model.
