WASM- The Kingdom is affected by a cold air front on Tuesday evening accompanied by a low-pressure system positioned south of Cyprus Island, with scattered thunderstorms falling over western areas of the Kingdom. These rains are sometimes heavy, especially in areas surrounding the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley, and the western mountains.
The thunderstorms extend to the capital Amman and northern areas as well as the southern highlands of the country. These thunderstorms continue until Wednesday afternoon, with the weather stabilizing Wednesday evening and remaining cold.
Thursday's weather will be cold and partly cloudy with light rainfall, due to the Kingdom being affected by the leading edge of a new low-pressure system forming around Cyprus Island. Gradually, the Kingdom will be affected by a rainy and cold low-pressure system on Friday and Saturday, with these rains being heavy during some periods and covering the north, center, and parts of southern Kingdom.
The Kingdom is expected to be affected by successive and continuous low-pressure systems throughout the second half of December, with heavy precipitation falling during many periods. These low-pressure systems are sometimes accompanied by cold polar waves, especially during the last week of December.
