WASM- Jordan is affected by a "deep" atmospheric low-pressure system tomorrow, Thursday, during nighttime hours until Friday morning, resulting in a significant drop in temperatures and heavy rainfall which is sometimes thunderstorm-related and "stormy" winds whose gusts exceed 100 km/hour.
Winds will gradually intensify and clouds will increase tomorrow during Thursday daytime with scattered and limited rainfall showers falling, and during nighttime hours wind speeds will strengthen, temperatures will drop, heavy rainfall will fall and flash floods and transported floods will form as a result.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 5 degrees Celsius in Amman city on Friday morning with a difference exceeding 20 degrees Celsius compared to Wednesday daytime when temperatures exceeded 27 degrees.
The Kingdom was affected today during Wednesday daytime by the front of the "Mediterranean" atmospheric low-pressure system in the form of a noticeable rise in temperatures reaching 29 degrees in Amman city, which is the highest since the beginning of the rainy season.
Weather is expected to stabilize gradually after Friday afternoon with conditions remaining very cold, and temperatures will rise during Saturday daytime and warm spring conditions will return gradually.
More weather fluctuations are expected after mid-month with the beginning of the activity of "first" khamsin atmospheric low-pressure systems mid-next week.
