WASM- The Kingdom will be affected tomorrow, Wednesday, by a deep and very dry Khamsin low-pressure system that brings unstable weather and severe temperature fluctuations with strong dust waves, especially over desert areas. Wind gusts are expected to exceed 80 km/h, particularly during midday and afternoon hours.
Temperatures will drop in the evening of Wednesday and the night of Wednesday/Thursday to 10-12 degrees Celsius and rise during the day to 28-29 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, reflecting significant temperature variations. Utmost caution and precautions are advised, with recommendations to wear light winter clothing and for respiratory patients, allergy sufferers, and asthma patients to take appropriate medical measures.
Khamsin conditions will temporarily recede on Thursday with warm daytime weather and dusty conditions, cold mornings, and gradually during the night of Thursday/Friday another Khamsin low-pressure system approaches, bringing increased clouds at medium and high altitudes with light and limited rain showers and gradual wind activation.
Weather on Friday will be highly unstable coinciding with strong winds and dense dust waves, especially in desert areas. Temperatures will drop on the night of Friday/Saturday to around 8 degrees Celsius in the capital Amman coinciding with light rain showers in the north and central regions of the Kingdom.
Weather is expected to stabilize and Khamsin conditions will recede on Saturday and Sunday with mild to warm spring-like daytime weather and cold, humid nights. Temperatures will range between 20-23 degrees during the day and 10-13 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas and the capital Amman.
WASM Regional Center is monitoring a cold and humid wave with weather fluctuations and rainfall expected mid-next week, with these fluctuations expected to intensify after mid-month.
