WASM - The impact of the heat wave intensifies to become "strong" tomorrow, Thursday, and will continue for several days. Temperatures are expected to reach forty-degree levels in many regions of the Kingdom, including the city of Amman, where the atmosphere will be extremely hot in most areas.
The atmosphere will be very hot on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures reaching around 41 degrees Celsius in Amman, while in low-lying areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba they will reach around 45 degrees Celsius, but in high mountainous areas they will be around 36 degrees Celsius.
The strong heat wave will continue on Saturday and Sunday, but humidity levels will rise noticeably and considerably, which will cause an uncomfortable feeling from the wave, and will increase the perception of high temperatures. Winds will be variable in direction to northwest with light speed.
WASM Regional Weather Center expects the heat wave to continue until the beginning of September, with temperatures expected to remain hotter during the first half of September.
It is advised to avoid direct exposure to sunlight, drink cold fluids, not leave sterilizing materials inside vehicles, and set air conditioning devices to 22-24 degrees Celsius to avoid stress on the electrical load.
