The Kingdom is expected to be affected by a heat wave starting Thursday, which is the first of this summer. It will raise temperatures to 40 degrees Celsius in wide areas including the capital Amman, and reach 43-44 degrees Celsius in desert areas, low-lying regions, and the Jordan Valley.
The heat wave coincides with dry weather conditions due to the blowing of hot and dry eastern winds, which stir up dust and light dust particles. Dry thunderstorm cumulus clouds also appear, which cause dust-raising winds.
The heat wave reaches its peak during the beginning of next week coinciding with severe dry weather conditions, and begins to gradually and slowly recede during the middle and end of next week.
This heat wave is considered the first of this summer, which has been characterized by mild conditions and lower temperatures compared to previous years, and this heat wave came at a late time in the summer season.
It is expected that next month "September" will be moderate and autumnal with temperatures slightly below their seasonal averages.
