The hot weather is expected to subside on Saturday, as normal summer conditions return and continue throughout most of next week with maximum temperatures around 33 degrees Celsius in the capital Amman, which matches the average for this time of year.
Extreme heat will persist in desert areas, particularly in the eastern regions of the kingdom and the Jordan Valley during the coming days.
Weather becomes milder during nighttime and early morning hours with temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees Celsius in the capital Amman, accompanied by northwesterly winds that provide relief from the heat.
Summer heat intensifies during July and the first half of August in various regions of the Northern Hemisphere, with temperatures rising to their highest annual levels, while the opposite occurs in the Southern Hemisphere, which is affected by winter cold.
