A strong polar wave is expected to affect the Kingdom
starting Wednesday night and continuing for several days accompanied by heavy precipitation and extremely cold weather with temperatures below zero degrees Celsius.
The Kingdom is affected today, Sunday, by a low-pressure system positioned near the coasts of Palestine and is considered a semi-dry low-pressure system with some khamsin characteristics causing unstable weather and light rain showers in the north and central parts of the Kingdom and light dust, with active winds in the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom causing dust storms.
It is expected that the weather on Monday and Tuesday will be stable, partly cloudy and generally cold, with rain showers falling in the evening hours of Tuesday and the night of Tuesday/Wednesday.
A low-pressure system is expected to approach the Kingdom on Wednesday evening and rain will begin at the front of the strong polar wave which is expected to continue for several days accompanied by heavy rainfall, extremely cold weather and chances of snow falling in the high mountains of the Kingdom, and more details will be issued later.
