WASM – The Kingdom will be affected by a low-pressure system positioned north of Egypt on Friday, with scattered rain falling across various regions of the Kingdom, including desert and southern areas. This rainfall will intensify during the evening and night, becoming heavy and continuing in intervals until Saturday across various regions of the Kingdom.

The weather will be partly cloudy on Wednesday and Thursday with limited rain showers across various regions of the Kingdom, with cold and humid weather continuing. Gradually, the Kingdom will be affected by the leading edge of the low-pressure system on Friday, with its impact increasing in the evening of Friday and on Saturday.

WASM issues an orange alert level starting from Friday afternoon through the evening and night hours until Saturday due to heavy rainfall in some areas and the potential for flash floods and water accumulation in low-lying areas and valleys, coinciding with active winds and cold weather.

WASM Regional Center is monitoring a very cold polar wave at the beginning and middle of next week, accompanied by a deep low-pressure system that may escalate into a winter storm with heavy precipitation across various regions of the Kingdom. WASM will issue all details regarding the expected weather conditions during the beginning and middle of next week.
