WASM – The Kingdom is affected by a rainy weather condition resulting from the expected formation of a low-pressure system in the eastern Mediterranean basin starting late Friday/Saturday night and continuing until the beginning of next week, which will result in heavy rainfall and snow showers on the peaks of southern mountains with very cold weather.
In detail, the weather will remain cold and partly cloudy on Wednesday and Thursday with light and limited rainfall, which is similar to the weather conditions during Tuesday and Wednesday, and starting Friday night the low-pressure system will begin to affect the Kingdom with rainfall in some areas intensifying on Saturday.
Chances of rain will continue during the beginning of next week, then the weather will stabilize temporarily in the middle of next week and rainfall and polar waves will return at the end of next week. This rainy season is recording a succession of rainy conditions and low-pressure systems due to an unusual atmospheric circulation that drives cold air masses towards the eastern Mediterranean and weather stability in wide areas of the European continent and North African countries.
WASM continues to monitor the weather condition constantly and any changes that may occur to the expected weather conditions. Attention should be paid to sudden weather fluctuations during the coming period.
