Jordan | Weather alert: Sharp temperature fluctuations expected in the coming days

TAG- The Kingdom will be affected by "sharp" temperature fluctuations over the coming days, resulting in significant temperature variations between drops and rises, which increases the chances of seasonal diseases. A long-duration "polar wave" is approaching the Kingdom towards the end of next week, and details will be issued progressively.

A cold and humid air mass from Thursday to Sunday..
The Kingdom will be affected by cold and humid winds from Thursday to Sunday, bringing cold and partly cloudy conditions with light, scattered, and limited rainfall in some areas. Temperatures will reach 3-4 degrees Celsius at night in the capital and mountains, with highs around 13-14 degrees Celsius.

Temperature rise at the beginning and middle of next week for a "temporary" period..
Temperatures will rise starting from Monday through Wednesday, reaching around 22 degrees Celsius during the day in the capital and mountains, and around 10 degrees Celsius at night. The weather is expected to be mild during daylight hours in mountainous areas, while it will be warm in low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley.

A cold wave at the end of next week..
Cold and humid winds will rush towards the Kingdom at the end of next week, and temperatures will drop "sharply" and rapidly coinciding with active winds and an increase in the chances of rainfall. A polar wave is also approaching the Kingdom, positioned over Turkey and the northeastern Mediterranean, and its details will be issued soon in the coming weather bulletins.

TAG advises continuing to wear warm winter clothes and not to do without them, being alert to the spread of seasonal diseases, and increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins that strengthen the immune system. It also advises not to plant spring-summer crops in mountainous areas until mid-March due to the expected late polar cold waves coinciding with increased chances of "black and late" frost or sharp temperature drops and heavy rainfall that may damage seeds and some crops.
