The strong heat wave continues until the beginning of next week with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in wide areas including the capital and mountainous regions.
Heat in the capital reaches 39-42 degrees Celsius until Wednesday, then decreases slightly and modestly during the end of the week, but with a noticeable rise in humidity levels and the appearance of mid and high-level clouds.
The strong heat wave begins to gradually recede during next Monday and temperatures start to drop noticeably. Moderate temperature winds are expected during the end of next week and the beginning of autumn's early signs.
The current wave is classified as strong and long due to the significant rise in temperature and the length of its time period. Strong heat waves have become more frequent in Jordan during recent years and also in various regions of the world.
