WASM – The Kingdom will be affected starting tonight and Friday daytime by atmospheric instability conditions, particularly in the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom, resulting in scattered thunderstorm showers which are sometimes heavy, causing the formation of local floods in low-lying areas south and east of the Kingdom and around the Dead Sea basin and northeast of the Aqaba region.
Thunderstorm clouds occasionally extend to the central and northern regions of the Kingdom, particularly during midnight hours tonight and Friday daytime, resulting in scattered thunderstorm showers and occasional wind activity.
Weather will stabilize temporarily Friday evening and clearly on Saturday, but with the continued appearance of limited-range cumulus clouds in some parts during Saturday daytime.
The Kingdom will be affected again by a new rainy weather condition starting Sunday evening, resulting in thunderstorm rainfall in wide areas of western Kingdom, particularly the northern, central and eastern parts of the country, and all details will be issued accordingly.
WASM issues an orange alert level for weather conditions in southern and eastern Kingdom and yellow in northern and central Kingdom due to atmospheric instability conditions, and it is recommended to "completely stay away" from low-lying areas, valleys, water accumulations and be cautious of sudden strong winds.
