WASM- The southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom will be affected by weather instability, particularly during evening and night hours from Thursday until Friday morning, resulting in thunderstorms and rainfall showers that are sometimes heavy, causing local flooding in low-lying areas, valleys, and water collection points, including Al-Shobak, Al-Tafila, Petra, northeast of the Aqaba region, Wadi Araba area, extending towards Al-Jafr, Al-Azraq, and Al-Ruwaished during Thursday/Friday night hours.
Thunderclouds extend from Friday dawn but with moderate intensity to central and northern regions, resulting in light to moderate thunderstorm rainfall that may sometimes coincide with wind activity and dust storms.
The weather instability weakens on Saturday, then recurs mid and end of next week, which is expected to reach its peak.
Temperatures will be around 25 degrees Celsius in the capital and mountainous areas, with the weather being generally autumnal with clouds at various altitudes.
Due to the nature of terrain, mountains, and valleys in the south and east of the Kingdom, an orange level alert is issued for weather conditions due to the ease of formation of floods and flash floods, while a yellow level alert is issued for the north and center of the Kingdom, including the capital Amman.
It is always recommended to adhere to alerts during weather instability periods, even if the weather is sunny and warm in your area, and to avoid low-lying areas and water collection points.
