Jordan | Weather Alert.. Unstable atmospheric conditions beginning Monday night and continuing through the end of the week

WASM- The Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions starting Monday night, intensifying on Tuesday, and recurring at the end of the week. Thunderstorms will fall in different regions of the Kingdom, coinciding with active winds, dust storms, reduced horizontal visibility, and temperature fluctuations.

Clouds will increase in the southeastern desert areas on Saturday evening in a limited manner, and clouds will become denser on Sunday evening over the desert areas. The weather condition will extend to cover different areas during the hours of Monday/Tuesday night with thunderstorms falling.

The weather condition will be more intense over the southern mountains and some eastern desert areas, where rainfall will be heavy at times, causing water accumulation in low-lying areas and valleys, coinciding with sudden strong wind activity.

Temperatures will drop slightly on Wednesday, then rise on Thursday, and the weather condition will recur at the end of the week across different areas. These weather conditions are the result of an extension of the Red Sea low-pressure system from the south, accompanied by a warmer and more humid air mass and another cold mass pushing from the west through the middle and upper layers of the atmosphere.

WASM issues a yellow alert level for the expected weather conditions starting Monday night until Wednesday daytime, with expectations of recurrence at the end of the current week.

Cold weather is expected to return after mid-month with continued chances of rain in many regions, which are expected to increase in intensity and coverage.
