WASM- The Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions beginning Thursday evening over some areas of the Kingdom in a scattered manner, where thunderstorms will occur. This weather condition will intensify noticeably and its impact will expand starting from Thursday evening and Friday evening with scattered thunderstorms.
The weather condition will intensify significantly starting Friday night/Saturday and during Saturday with heavy thunderstorms in some areas coinciding with strong winds that stir dust and sand at times, and these thunderstorms will continue until Sunday morning.
The weather condition will intensify on Saturday, especially in the evening period, with heavy thunderstorms occurring at times in some areas, which increases the chances of flash floods forming in small and limited areas and water accumulation opportunities, especially in low-lying areas, valleys, and the Dead Sea region.
The intensity of the weather condition will temporarily decrease on Sunday to return and intensify again later during Sunday night/Monday and throughout the coming week, and the weather condition will become strong with heavy rainfall and strong winds at times, which increases the chances of flash floods and transient floods in many areas of the Kingdom.
WASM advises alertness to the expected weather condition and the strength of its impact, especially Friday evening and throughout Saturday, as well as its strength during the beginning and middle of the coming week and the extensive impact chances of flash floods.
WASM issues a yellow alert level starting Friday evening until Friday, then this level rises to orange Friday night/Saturday and throughout Saturday. WASM's Regional Center is monitoring significant intensification and other developments in the weather condition at the beginning and middle of the coming week, and all details will be issued successively.
