TAG – The Kingdom will be affected starting from next Monday by a winter storm accompanied by heavy precipitation, strong winds, and low temperatures, which is expected to intensify and peak starting next Tuesday, and increase in strength and cold during the beginning of February.
In detail, strong winds will blow over the Kingdom during Friday and Saturday causing dust, with sharp temperature fluctuations (between significant rises and drops) and rain showers falling on Saturday in various areas.
Thunderstorm showers will fall in the evening of Sunday and the night of Sunday/Monday in various areas of the Kingdom, increasing in intensity during Monday daytime, before the start of the winter storm impact.
Starting from Monday evening and the night of Monday/Tuesday, the winter storm begins to affect the Kingdom, with heavy rains falling simultaneously with strong winds, intensifying from Tuesday for several days with continued heavy rainfall in various areas, stronger wind speeds, and very cold conditions.
Snow falling chances are expected to increase in high mountains on Wednesday and Thursday, with increased chances of snow as the winter storm intensifies at the end of next week (beginning of February) in mountainous areas, and details will be issued progressively.
The winter storm is expected to continue until the second week of February, accompanied by large amounts of rain, snowfall, strong winds, and very cold weather.
It is estimated that many areas of the Kingdom will record more than a third of their seasonal rainfall at least during the impact of this winter storm.
