WASM – WASM Regional Center issues the monthly weather bulletin for December 2020 based on a climate model developed within WASM, which relies on statistical and climate data to issue long-range forecasts.
December is expected to be rainy and cold, with heavy precipitation expected during several periods, especially starting from December 10-11 and more consecutively after mid-month until New Year's Day.
In detail, the weather conditions distribution is expected to be as follows..
December 2 and December 5-6.. Limited rainfall showers, where the first period of December is expected to be more stable.
December 10-13.. Heavy rainy weather condition resulting from a low-pressure system.
December 17-20.. Generally rainy and cold periods.
December 23-26.. Deep low-pressure system and heavy precipitation with a possible chance of snow in some high mountainous areas.
December 31 to New Year's Day.. Cold weather and heavy precipitation with a possible chance of snow in some high mountainous areas.
The chance of snowfall in some high mountainous areas is expected to increase during the end of December, especially between December 23-26 as well as New Year's Day period. These data come based on the climate model developed within WASM. As for the details, they will be issued successively based on short and medium-range forecasts that rely on flexible data issued from multiple numerical models that WASM has developed, which produce high-precision forecasts in short and medium-range periods integrated with the developed alert system consisting of 4 colors: green, then yellow, then orange, and the strongest is red.
