WASM- Weather will stabilize tomorrow, Sunday, and temperatures will drop
With the recession of the Red Sea low pressure system, which caused high temperatures and cloud spread
and wind activity and thundershowers falling unseasonably.
Temperatures will drop to become below their seasonal averages again tomorrow, Sunday, through Wednesday,
and the weather will be slightly cold during the night in mountainous areas and the capital and pleasant and moderate
during daytime hours, but hot in low-lying areas and the Jordan Valley, as low clouds appear
with light westerly winds blowing.
Temperature rise at the end of the week and weather fluctuations..
The Red Sea low pressure extension will return unseasonably and with rare occurrence, clouds will increase
and temperatures will rise at the end of the week with light rain showers falling.
Weather fluctuations mid-month..
WASM's regional center is monitoring an unseasonable weather condition around mid-month that will affect some
areas of the kingdom, and details will be issued progressively as the time period approaches and more
details will be released, as the cause of this condition is due to a drop in atmospheric pressure again in the area east
of the Mediterranean and north Egypt and west Saudi Arabia.
Normally, the Mediterranean witnesses during summer a zone of permanent high atmospheric pressure
which causes weather stability and moderate temperatures in general, but the unusual movement of
atmospheric circulation dynamics has caused a change in weather systems and repeated surges of seasonal winds
toward the region and in a rare manner and possibly unprecedented in the modern climate records
in the region of the eastern Arab world.
WASM recommends continuous monitoring of warnings from the Jordanian Meteorology Department and attention to weather bulletins
that are issued through local media outlets which are characterized by low accuracy and which cause
significant losses in various sectors.
