Jordan | Wind speed to decrease tomorrow Wednesday with continuation of warm wave and sharp weather fluctuations beginning Friday evening

WASM - The warm wave continues until the end of the week, and wind speeds will decrease tonight and tomorrow Wednesday with a noticeable increase in humidity and the appearance of clouds at various altitudes. Temperatures in Amman will reach around 28°C during Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will drop on Friday while the atmosphere remains warm during the day, with a high of around 18-20°C in Amman. However, sharp weather fluctuations are expected due to the anticipated approach of a low-pressure system accompanied by cold winds from central Europe. This low-pressure system will cause a significant temperature drop, active cold winds, and precipitation, especially in the northern regions of the kingdom.

The effects of the low-pressure system are expected to gradually recede in the middle of next week and the beginning of the blessed month, with temperatures rising to become moderate during the day and continued chances of rain from time to time.

The reason for the strength of these weather fluctuations is due to the intensity of atmospheric circulation this season and an extreme deviation in waves called "Rossby waves," which are responsible for the transfer of cold and warm air between northern and southern regions in the Northern Hemisphere. An extreme deviation in these fluctuations has been observed this season, causing unusual weather conditions across most parts of the world. WASM has issued a scientific study that you can find here.

WASM will issue the monthly weather bulletin for the blessed month of Ramadan this week to clarify the expected weather conditions and temperature trends.
