WASM - The Kingdom will be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday by a weather depression centered southeast of Cyprus island, accompanied by a cold and humid air mass. The weather depression is generally considered moderate in intensity.
In detail, the weather on Tuesday daytime will be partly cloudy and cold with scattered rain showers falling in various regions of the Kingdom, becoming heavy at times on Tuesday evening and during the night of Tuesday/Wednesday, particularly in northern regions and parts of central areas.
On Wednesday, the weather will be cloudy and cold with occasional rain, especially in the north and center of the Kingdom. Rain will be heavy at times in northern regions and parts of the center during midday, evening and night hours, coinciding with active and cold winds.
On Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy and cold with fog in mountains and plain areas, with scattered rain showers falling during the daytime.
The weather will stabilize at the end of the week with temperatures rising from Friday through Sunday, with forecasts of a complete change in weather conditions later during the middle of next week with expectations of a polar wave approaching the Kingdom.
WASM has issued an orange alert level in parts of the northwest of the Kingdom and yellow alert in numerous central and southern regions of the country.
