WASM - The WASM Regional Center is issuing the monthly bulletin for the holy month of Ramadan in Jordan, and for the first time in Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf countries in detailed temporal form, and it will be issued through our platforms on the X platform.

The first half of Ramadan is expected to be highly volatile, with strong and sharp temperature fluctuations, with the expectation of very large amounts of rainfall in wide areas of the Kingdom as well as desert regions and high chances of flash floods and flooding.

Additionally, a sharp cold wave is expected during the end of the second week of the holy month and the beginning of the third week, before the Kingdom is affected by a warm stability period which is expected to be the first warm period after winter.

These are the details for weather conditions|

From 1 to 3 Ramadan.. Sharp temperature fluctuations between notable rise then sharp decline.
From 4 to 6 Ramadan.. Weather instability and thunderstorm rainfall in various areas (Yellow level).
From 7 to 12 Ramadan.. Strong rainy weather condition with very large amounts of rainfall.
From 13 to 16 Ramadan.. Very cold and rainy period.
From 18 to 24 Ramadan.. A warm and stable spring wave which is expected to be the first this season after winter.
From 25 Ramadan to Eid period.. Spring weather disturbances and temperature fluctuations with rainfall showers.

During the Eid period, it is expected to be cold and rainy at times after spring weather fluctuations expected during the last days of the holy month.

As can be observed, the strong weather conditions are concentrated during the first half of the holy month and until the beginning of the third week of it.

It is recommended to plant summer crops in mountainous areas and plains starting from the third week of the holy month (or the last days of March and with the beginning of the warm spring wave), as we do not expect strong cold waves to occur after this date, but rather ordinary cold conditions.

The rainy season is expected to continue for a late period and until the end of spring and the beginning of summer, and it is expected that spring will witness a small number of Khamsin depressions or weak activity of Khamsin depressions due to weak atmospheric activity in the western Mediterranean region.
