WASM- The WASM Regional Center issues the monthly bulletin for September 2023 using the climate model developed at the center and the only one of its kind in the Arab region, which is characterized by high accuracy in detecting long-range weather conditions.
It is expected that autumn fluctuations will begin early this season starting from the middle of the month, with increasing effects of these autumn fluctuations during the last 10 days of September and an expected occurrence of rainfall showers during some periods and in different areas of the Kingdom.
The atmosphere has been affected by unusual circulation patterns for several months, resulting in extreme weather conditions around the world including floods, torrents, storms, severe cold waves, as well as extreme heat waves. It is expected that the extremeness of unusual atmospheric circulation patterns will increase during the autumn and winter seasons, causing extreme weather conditions over Jordan, the eastern Mediterranean Basin region, and the Arabian Peninsula.
