WASM — A regional heavy rainfall event is expected to begin at the end of the week across parts of the Levant and northwestern Saudi Arabia, becoming intense and wide‑ranging next week with high risk of a regional flash‑flood wave.
Highly moist and strongly disturbed equatorial waves from the Arabian Sea will deepen toward the Arabian Peninsula starting at the end of the week, coinciding with approaching weather systems toward the end of the month. This will lead to a regional, heavy rainfall event.
The detailed seasonal weather bulletin for the Arab region (2026–2027) has been issued.

The rainfall event begins at the end of the week across wide parts of western Saudi Arabia, the Hail region, western Al‑Qassim, Al‑Jawf, and parts of the Northern Borders, extending toward Iraq and the Levant—especially central and southern Syria, including parts of Damascus and northeastern Jordan.
The rainfall intensifies significantly by mid and late next week, becoming heavy and covering large areas of Iraq, Kuwait, northern Saudi Arabia, its western and northeastern regions, north‑central areas, and most of the Levant.
