Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Gulf, and the Arabian Peninsula
Weather conditions will be unstable in northwestern Saudi Arabia, especially in Al‑Jawf, Tabuk, Qurayyat, northern Hail, and parts of the Northern Borders region. Instability intensifies toward the end of the week, leading to periods of thunderstorms and occasional strong winds. Thunderstorms will also continue over parts of the highlands of Asir, Makkah, Taif, Al‑Baha, and western Madinah.
Rainfall may become locally heavy in parts of Al‑Jawf, eastern Tabuk, western Northern Borders, and Qurayyat, with flash‑flood risks on Saturday and Sunday. Further details will be issued soon.
Rain events are expected to become more widespread, stronger, and heavier next week over northwestern Saudi Arabia, then expand to broader areas after mid‑month, reaching parts of Kuwait, northern Al‑Qassim, and northeastern Saudi Arabia.
