TAG- Jordan will be affected starting tonight by cold and rainy winter weather, especially in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom. Rain will be scattered and continue for several days until at least the middle of next week, as a result of the Kingdom being affected by a very cold air mass with high humidity accompanied by multiple cold fronts.
A significant drop in temperature is expected, with dust gradually receding and scattered thundery showers falling during the passage of this cold front tonight. These rains will be heavy in some areas, especially in the northern and central parts of the country.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be cold and partly cloudy with light rain showers intensifying in the evening and night hours and occasionally heavy, especially in northern and central Jordan. The chance of rain will decrease during Thursday daytime, and the weather will remain cold, humid, and partly cloudy.
A new cold front is expected to move toward the Kingdom on Friday, resulting in scattered rainfall, especially in the northern and central parts of the country, with a noticeable drop in temperature.
Rain is expected to resume on Saturday evening and Sunday as another new cold front is expected to pass, with cold, cloudy, and winter weather continuing with occasional rainfall.
TAG expects a slight rise in temperature in the middle of next week and a temporary calm in weather conditions before the return of other atmospheric depressions to the country and renewed rainfall in many regions.
TAG issued an orange alert level today for weather conditions due to significant temperature fluctuations, dust density, strong winds, and thundery rainfall. The alert level is expected to drop to yellow during the coming days with expected cold and rainy winter weather conditions occasionally.
