TAG - Jordan and regional countries are affected by "extremely severe" weather fluctuations resulting in significant temperature variations, stormy winds, heavy rainfall, and highly unstable conditions, which are expected to begin on Tuesday and continue for several days but in scattered periods.
Temperatures rise significantly on Sunday and Monday with very warm weather and temperatures exceeding 26 degrees Celsius in Amman, with "dense" clouds increasing on Monday and scattered thundery showers falling in some areas.
Starting from Tuesday, dust levels in the atmosphere increase and wind speeds intensify to become "stormy" and stir up thick dust in desert areas, with a cold air front crossing in the evening and night hours causing heavy rainfall and sharp weather fluctuations, which leads to flash floods and flood streams, especially in western areas and the Jordan Valley.
Cold and rainy weather affects intermittently, with these heavy rains from Wednesday until Saturday causing flash floods and flood streams in low-lying areas coinciding with extremely cold weather in mountainous areas and temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius.
It is expected that cold and rainy weather will continue occasionally until the beginning of April with heavy rainfall in some periods.
